Meet Dr. Laura Armstrong
Dr. Laura Armstrong received her doctorate from Pacific University and completed multiple externships and a fellowship through the Academy of Optometry. She founded Eyestrong Pediatric Eye Care to provide family-friendly and comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, with an emphasis on great care for infants, children, and adolescents.

Specializing in young patients, our doctors provide friendly and welcoming care that supports clear sight and healthy eyes from infancy through adolescence.
Pediatric Eye Exams
Children should receive a comprehensive pediatric eye exam before 12 months of age, again at age three, and annually starting at age five. We check their eye movement, visual acuity, and for conditions common for patients their age.
Myopia Management
We use effective treatment options like Ortho-K and MiSight® in our custom myopia management plans to correct your child’s vision and slow symptom progression.
Eye Disease Management
We specialize in managing eye diseases in children, including conjunctivitis and amblyopia — even if no vision problems are noticeable, babies as young as 6 months are recommended for your child’s first eye assessment to ensure their eyes are developing correctly.
Vision Therapy
Not all vision problems are solved by eye drops and medicine — vision therapy helps correct sight problems when the eyes aren’t focusing together correctly, or when a physical injury causes an eye misalignment.

From the south and downtown, take E Burnside St to NE Grand Ave and drive 0.2 miles — you’ll pass Dutch Bros Coffee on your left. Drive another 0.7 miles and turn left onto NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. After 0.3 miles, you’ll see OX Restaurant, then drive 0.8 miles, and will be on your right. From the north, take NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd south for 0.3 miles until Double J Tire Center — in another 1.4 miles, and turn right onto NE Shaver St. In 0.1 miles, turn left onto NE Garfield Ave and drive another 0.1 miles. Turn left onto NE Failing St. Drive and you’ll see Cedo’s Falafel and Gyros on your left. Turn left onto NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, and Eyestrong Pediatric Eye Care is on your right in 0.1 miles.
